Terms & Conditions

Effective date: March 27, 2026

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using the Fulshear Tutoring website or services. By accessing our website at fulsheartutoring.com or engaging our tutoring services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

Learner Terms & Conditions

Overview

By requesting or participating in any tutoring session, workshop, or group study event offered by Fulshear Tutoring, learners (and their parents or guardians where applicable) agree to the following terms. These terms exist to maintain a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment for everyone involved.

Section 1: Commitment & Attendance

Learners who schedule a tutoring session commit to attending at the agreed-upon time and location. Out of respect for our volunteer tutors:

  • Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours in advance whenever possible.
  • Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may result in suspension from scheduling future sessions.
  • Learners are encouraged to arrive prepared with materials, notes, and specific questions.

Section 2: Respectful Conduct

Learners are expected to treat tutors and fellow students with courtesy and professionalism at all times. Disrespectful behavior — including harassment, discriminatory language, or any form of bullying — will result in immediate removal from the program.

All sessions held on school premises are subject to LCISD's Code of Student Conduct in addition to these Terms.

Section 3: Academic Integrity

Fulshear Tutoring is committed to supporting genuine learning. Learners agree not to use our services to complete assignments, take-home tests, or any graded work that they are required to complete independently. Our tutors are here to explain, guide, and coach — not to do your work for you.

Violations of academic integrity may be reported to the appropriate school administration.

Section 4: Privacy

Information you share during sessions — including your academic struggles, grades, or personal circumstances — is treated with strict confidentiality. Tutors will not share this information outside of necessary coordination within the Fulshear Tutoring team. See our full Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

Tutor Terms & Conditions

Overview

Individuals who apply to and are accepted as tutors with Fulshear Tutoring agree to uphold the highest standard of service, professionalism, and integrity. These terms apply to all tutors, whether providing one-on-one sessions, leading workshops, or assisting in group study.

Section 1: Commitment Intent for Becoming a Tutor

By submitting a tutor interest form or otherwise expressing intent to tutor with Fulshear Tutoring, you represent that:

  • You are a current or former student of Fulshear High School.
  • You have demonstrated proficiency in the subject(s) you wish to tutor, as evidenced by grades, test scores, or other qualifications you disclose.
  • You are committing voluntarily and understand this is a community service role.
  • You will complete any required onboarding or orientation before your first session.

Misrepresentation of credentials or qualifications is grounds for immediate removal from the program.

Section 2: Procedure While Tutoring

Once accepted, tutors agree to follow these procedures:

  • Conduct all sessions in appropriate, supervised locations (school common areas, libraries, or other agreed-upon spaces).
  • Avoid one-on-one sessions in private or unsupervised spaces with minors.
  • Keep accurate records of sessions as requested by the program coordinator.
  • Use respectful, inclusive, and age-appropriate language at all times.
  • Refer learners to school counselors or appropriate resources if serious personal concerns arise — do not attempt to handle such matters alone.
  • Notify the program coordinator immediately of any incidents, safety concerns, or conflicts.

Section 3: Expectations

Tutors are the face of Fulshear Tutoring and are expected to:

  • Be punctual and reliable for all scheduled sessions.
  • Come prepared with subject knowledge and, where possible, practice materials.
  • Communicate proactively with the program coordinator about scheduling conflicts or session updates.
  • Represent Fulshear Tutoring positively in all interactions, online and in person.
  • Actively seek feedback from learners and continuously improve their tutoring approach.

Tutors who fail to meet these expectations — including chronic lateness, unprofessional behavior, or repeated cancellations — may be removed from the program at the coordinator's discretion.

Section 4: Privacy & Confidentiality

Tutors have access to sensitive information about learners, including academic struggles, personal circumstances, and contact details. Tutors agree to:

  • Keep all learner information strictly confidential.
  • Not share learner contact information, grades, or session details with any unauthorized person.
  • Not record any session (audio or video) without explicit consent from all parties, including parental consent for minors.
  • Delete or return any learner-provided materials upon the conclusion of the tutoring relationship.

Violations of this confidentiality obligation may result in removal from the program and, where applicable, reporting to school administration.

07Disclaimers

Our website and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

Academic outcomes. We make no guarantee that participation in our programs will result in any specific improvement in grades, test scores, or academic performance. Results vary by student effort, learning style, and other factors outside our control.

Tutor qualifications. While we take care to select knowledgeable tutors, our tutors are students — not licensed teachers or certified professionals. Our services supplement but do not replace formal academic instruction.

Website accuracy. We strive to keep our website content accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant that all information is error-free, complete, or current. Program details, schedules, and availability are subject to change.

08Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Fulshear Tutoring and its organizers, tutors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — our website or services.

This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of academic standing, loss of data, personal injury, or property damage arising from any session, event, or communication facilitated through Fulshear Tutoring.

In all cases, our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for services in the three (3) months preceding the claim — which in most cases is zero, as our services are provided at no cost.

09Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Fulshear Tutoring and its organizers, tutors, volunteers, and affiliates from and against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of our services or website
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any applicable law or the rights of a third party
  • Any content you submit through our website or communications

10Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms, is harmful to other users or our community, or is otherwise inappropriate.

You may discontinue use of our services at any time. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification — will continue to apply.

11Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Fort Bend County, Texas.

By using our services, you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objection to such venue.

12Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of our website or services after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
